The 12PM Combat Light marks the creation of a new class of light for Military, Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, and individual personal security needs. The "magnum" power of four (4) Duracell DL123A lithium batteries, pushed to their maximum, by a new high intensity lamp, combined with the famous Sure-Fire "Turbo" reflector, provides a light of awe-inspiring power. The 500-plus lumen, tightly-focused beam gives the user a tremendous tactical advantage, as well as being a entirely new non-lethal force option. Prisoners, non-complying suspects and assailants are much easier to control when they are unable to see due to the application of 500 lumens of light. This control capability, combined with the light's exceptional value for searches or illumination, make this new light an important tool. Note: The 12PM Combat Light's standard light's exceptional power and small size comes at a price. The batteries have only enough capacity to run for a little over 15 minutes. There are no options for rechargeable batteries for this unit. In addition, when the light is run continuously for more than a few minutes, the batteries heat up and trigger their protective thermal fuse, causing them to temporarily shut down. This fuse automatically resets after a few minutes of cooling down. Practically speaking, this means that the 12PM can run continuously for about 3 minutes before a thermal shut-off occurs, but if it is run intermittently (approximately 30% or less of duty cycle) the thermal shut-off will not occur.
