The RAPTOR was designed to be able to capture the frequencies of the handies that are transmitting nearby. It is camouflaged in a beeper, to fasten in the belt, and it has a digital display where it stores the captured frequencies. It can capture the frequency at which a 5 W handie is transmitting at a distance of 5 to 8 m or more, depending on the geographical area, so, after you have the frequency in which your target is working, with a scanner, preferably the Yaesu VX-1R transceiver, you place yourself in the frequency that appears in the RAPTOR display and you will intercept the 2 communication paths that are being used.
